1. General Provisions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Popinn platform and the mediation of event locations.

These terms apply to all platform users, both guests and hosts.

2. Definitions

  • Platform: The Popinn website and app at pop-inn.com
  • Host: Provider of an event location on the platform
  • Guest: Person who books a location through the platform
  • Booking: Reservation of a location for a specific period
  • Location: Event venue offered through the platform

3. Booking Process

3.1 Booking Request

Guests can submit booking requests for available locations through the platform.

3.2 Host Response Time

The host has 24 hours to respond to a booking request.

If no response is given within 24 hours, the booking is automatically cancelled and the guest receives a full refund.

3.3 Booking Acceptance

Upon acceptance of the booking by the host, the guest receives the exact address of the location.

Payment is confirmed and the contract between host and guest is established.

3.4 Booking Rejection

If a booking is rejected by the host, the guest receives a full refund.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 Cancellation by Guests

Guests can cancel their booking based on the cancellation conditions set by the host.

Refunds are made according to the selected cancellation conditions (full or partial).

4.2 Cancellation by Hosts

Hosts can cancel an active booking at any time.

In case of host cancellation, the guest always receives a full refund.

4.3 No-Show

If the host is demonstrably not on-site upon arrival, the full amount is refunded to the guest.

If the guest does not show up, the host does not need to cancel the booking and keeps the payment.

5. Host Obligations

5.1 Registration

  • Hosts must register through Stripe Connect.
  • Providing a valid IBAN is required.
  • Complete company information must be provided.
  • Document identification may be required if necessary.

5.2 Service Delivery

  • The host must provide all promised services.
  • Booked extras must be made fully available.
  • Key handover follows the procedures set by the host.

5.3 Information Duties

  • The host sets house rules and communicates them to the guest.
  • Cleaning information must be provided.
  • Access procedures must be clearly communicated.

6. Guest Obligations

6.1 Behavior

Guests must behave properly and follow house rules.

Damages must be avoided and reported if caused.

6.2 Insurance Coverage

Guests must have valid liability insurance.

Proof may be requested by the host if needed.

7. Payment and Processing

  • All payments are processed through Stripe.
  • Popinn charges no fees to hosts.
  • Service fees for guests are transparently displayed.
  • Payouts to hosts occur after successful event completion.

8. Liability

  • Popinn is liable only as a mediation platform, not for service delivery between host and guest.
  • Liability is limited to intent and gross negligence.
  • Both parties are responsible for adequate insurance coverage themselves.

9. Data Protection

The provisions of our privacy policy apply.

Personal data is processed only for contract fulfillment.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • In case of disputes between host and guest, Popinn mediates upon request.
  • German law applies.
  • Place of jurisdiction is Hamburg.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Changes will be communicated to users in a timely manner.

Continued use is considered acceptance of modified terms and conditions.
